NEWS AND EVENTS
(2007-06-22)
Studies have started to show that excess external stimulation, like ambient light as we have noted previously, may be more hazardous to our health than previously thought. Now noise can be added to the list. Rick Weiss writes in the Washington Post that, "biological changes...take place inside us" due to the constant level of community noise. In addition to sleep interruption he notes immune system suppression and even an increased risk of heart attack. Ear plugs anyone?
